BIOGRAPHY
Verena’s signature trademark is the complexity and contrast of the voice, moving from a classically influenced clean, crystal vibe tone to a more storytelling, contemporary expression. Coming from Opera as a classically trained singer, but growing up listening to pop music, she found herself straddling the fence between her natural ethereal sound and a more raw and modern expression of her real-life, down to earth lyrics.
Verena first started singing in Germany at the age of 8, moving straight to studying classical music as a Coloratura Soprano. After moving to Florida to study Journalism, she found that telling a story could be done by combining both passions: Writing and singing.

She started writing her own songs and experimenting with various genres, from pop to classical in a fierce pursuit to combine both. Performing in theatres and jazz bars, Verena began focusing on more pop-oriented material, resulting in her first record, “Something Real”, which still had substantial classical influences.
Shortly after she was cast in the popular US TV show “Single in the City: South Beach”, where her performance for the Winter Music Conference was broadcast,t and her journey to cross over from Opera, now incorporating electronic music, was captured.
She is currently collaborating with various DJs and producers from all over the globe, embracing many influences and directions while still staying true to her core.
